no end in sight
my laptop still hasn't arrived. there was a manufacturing glitch and so it is still in production... i should be getting it at the bare minimum in one week from now. it's quite frustrating how promises of 5 to 10 business days can turn into 15 to 20 days. damn my high expectations.
thus, i am sheltered from the world. at least, that's how it feels to me. it seems that technology is this thing that we take for granted and as soon as it isn't there anymore we don't know how to deal with this big empty space. somehow i needed a little time in china to realize that and my weeks without a laptop at home to get antsy.

Argh! Wow, you've been without the internet for too long and so have I! We were supposed to be hooked up like 2 weeks ago, and yet HK efficiency has failed miserably when it came to our net set-up. Anyway, I'm stealing really shitty wireless at the moment. I hope your spankin new laptop arrives soon at your door. Oh PS, I found a few Mao lighters, but I don't know how wise it would be to be mailing you little packets of lighter fluid. It *could* be a security breach. Sigh, what a tight ass world we live in! If I can't send you deadly letter bombs from Chairman Mao, I found some non-flammable tacky things to send over to you. But I want to look for *the* tackiest gift. hahah wait for it!

So, it may be a while... shipping is always slow and border crossing is never as efficient as it should be.
I'm starting to get really annoyed at my dependance of work internet. I can't wait to be able to, like you, steal some dodgy wireless connection!
Sweet for the lighters, and just like you, I don't know about shipping possibilities. But I have to say that I am *very* excited about the tackiest gift ever!
